We believe in keeping things simple and clear, so our terms are designed to be easy to understand — no confusing jargon, just a fair and transparent approach to working together.
● Once we’ve discussed your requirements, we’ll provide a fixed-price quote tailored to your project.
● To begin work, we ask for a 50% deposit upon acceptance of the quote. This secures your project slot and covers the initial development phase.
● The remaining 50% is due upon final approval, just before the website goes live, ensuring everything meets your expectations.
●The agreed-upon design and functionality will be outlined at the start of the project.
●Up to three rounds of revisions are included in the quoted price. Additional revisions may incur an extra fee.
For illustration purposes, here's a breakdown of how the revision rounds may work:
● Round 1: Initial feedback—clients might adjust layout, colors, or core messaging.
● Round 2: Refinements—fine-tuning elements based on their previous feedback.
● Round 3 (if offered): Final polish—small tweaks before sign-off.
● “Final approval” means the client has reviewed the website and confirmed it meets agreed-upon expectations.
● Once approved, the site will be prepared for launch, and the final payment must be made before going live.
● If the project is cancelled before work begins, the deposit is refundable.
● If cancelled after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable, to cover time and effort already invested.
● The final 50% payment will be paid by the client once the website has passed the tweaking stage of revisions (three revisions maximum unless otherwise agreed by The Web Constructors). Payment should be made regardless of whether the site is published on the internet or not.
● Refunds for completed work are not available once final round of tweaks are completed and/or the website has been launched.
● Upon full payment, the client owns all rights to the website content and design.
● Any third-party assets (such as licensed stock images) remain subject to their respective usage terms.
● Whilst we do not provide hosting directly, we are happy to assist with setting up hosting and ensuring a smooth transition and have approved partners we work with to fulfil this.
● If a client already has hosting, we will do our best to utilise their hosted space. However, we cannot guarantee we will use your hosted space. Issues can occur with compatibility or limitations with some hosted spaces. In this instance, we will inform the client and discuss options going forward. These options will be to either use our preferred hosting partner, the cost of which is to be incurred by the client, or the client can pay the remaining 50% to us and receive the code we have built for your site so you can make your own hosting arrangements.
● In order to use an existing hosting service, we will require administrative access, including login credentials, to configure and deploy the website properly. If the client does not provide the correct administration access to the hosted site, we will be unable to publish your website on your hosted space. In this instance, we will provide details of alternate hosting using our partner company. The cost of this will be incurred by the client, but we will discuss this with the client should this situation arise. In the event that a client does not give the necessary credentials in order to access their hosted space, but also does not want to use our partner host, the client will be required to make the final 50% payment to recieve the website coding we have produced to date. The client is then free to make their own hosting arrangements (see section 3).
● Once the site is live, we will require continued access for the period of free support, so that we can access the site and make any changes or tweaks. Failure to provide this will invalidate the free support and change policy.
● Any hosting fees or third-party costs are the client’s responsibility, separate from our web design and development services.
● Every package includes post-launch support, with the duration depending on the plan chosen.
● Support ranges from 5 weeks to 6 months, ensuring you have guidance as your website goes live.
● Additional maintenance or future updates beyond the included support period can be arranged separately.
● Custom packages also include ongoing support, with the specific duration outlined in your quotation.
● As mentioned in section 6, we will require Administrative access to the hosted space if you already have this in place. Without these rights, we will be unable to provide this support and the 'free support and minor changes' arrangement will be null and void.
